Usually the Alienware systems had a whitelist while the clevo/sager systems just did t have the power throughput, or you also needed to spend a significant amount of a DC adapter upgrade as well. So the few times we were asked to do the upgrade we ran into whitelist or power issues. Our biggest issue was simply replacement cost of the laptop after a couple years resulted in better performance than an upgrade to a laptop’s gpu. That’s good to know! I only did some limited repairs and upgrading.
